DRĒIPSは「Relax with Elegance」と言うブランドコンセプトを軸に商品を展開してきており、シャツに続いてバックやブルゾンをこれまでご提案してきました。
DRĒIPS has been developing products based on the brand concept of “Relax with Elegance”, and has proposed bags and blousons following shirts.
これらに続く新たなアイテムとして、この度「ショートスリーブカットソー（Tシャツ）」を開発致しました。

日本の夏は年々暑くなってきており、週末の装いとしてはもちろん、ビジネスシーンにおいてもジャケットやシャツを着用して過ごすことの難易度が高い状況となってきています。
Summer in Japan is getting hotter every year, and it is becoming more difficult to wear jackets and shirts not only for weekend attire, but also for business situations.
また近年はビジネスウェアのカジュアル化に伴い、襟のないカットソーアイテムにジャケットなどを羽織るスタイルも散見され、週末のみならず、ビジネスシーンにおいてもカットソーを着用する機会が増えてきました。

このような中で、体のラインが出過ぎるようなシルエットのTシャツは周囲から怪訝な目で見られるリスクがあり、また逆にトレンドでもあるビックシルエットのTシャツを大人が着るのは恥ずかしいと感じる方も多いのではないでしょうか。そこでDRĒIPSは「Relax with Elegance」と言うブランドコンセプトをカットソーに落とし込み、ゆとりあるシルエットでリラックス感を、生地と仕立てのアプローチでエレガントさを表現することにしました。
Under these circumstances, there is a risk that people around you will feel uncomfortable with a T-shirt with a silhouette that shows too much of the body’s line, and conversely, many people may feel embarrassed to wear a T-shirt with a too big silhouette, which is also a trend. Therefore, DRĒIPS decided to incorporate the brand concept of “Relax with Elegance” into the cut-and-sew, expressing a sense of relaxation with a spacious silhouette and elegance with a fabric and tailoring approach.
まずこだわったのは着用した際のシルエットです。
The first thing we were particular about was the silhouette when worn.
肩幅や身幅に少し余裕を持たせることで体のラインが出過ぎることはなく、また程よく落ちたショルダーラインはリラックス感を感じさせます。
By giving a little room to the width of the shoulders and body, the line of the body does not appear too much, and the moderately lowered shoulder line makes you feel relaxed.
ただし、あまりに大きすぎると子供っぽくなってしまったり、品性に欠けてしまうことがあることからバランス感を大切にしました。
However, if it is too large, it can become childish or lack character, so we valued a sense of balance.
そして袖丈の長さや袖口の大きさにもこだわり、リラックス感と上品さを表現できる設計としています。
We are also particular about the length of the sleeves and the size of the cuffs, and we have designed them to express a sense of relaxation and elegance.
また今回用いた生地はエジプト超長綿であるGIZAをブレンドしたコットン100％の天竺です。やや薄手で、上品な光沢感と柔らかな風合い、そして伸縮性が高いことが特徴です。
In addition, the fabric used this time is a 100% cotton tent blended with GIZA, which is an Egyptian ultra-long cotton. It is slightly thin, has an elegant luster and soft texture, and is characterized by high elasticity.
GIZAをブレンドしたコットンを用いることで品質とコストのバランス、そしてシルク等を含まない100％コットンとすることで扱いやすさを大切にしました。
By using cotton blended with GIZA, we have placed an emphasis on the balance between quality and cost. And by using 100% cotton that does not contain silk, etc., we have emphasized ease of handling.
更にミシンの縫い目を表に極力ださない、目立たせないと言うことを重視し、カジュアルなカットソーにエレガンスを与えています。例えば視線の集まる顔に近いネック周りはスムースな表情を心がけました。
The emphasis is on making the seams of the sewing machine as visible as possible and not conspicuous, giving elegance to the casual cut-and-sew. For example, we tried to have a smooth expression around the neck, which is close to the face where the gaze gathers.
袖や裾にはヴィンテージTシャツに見られる仕様であり、熟練の技術力が必要とされる「天地引き」と言う技術を用いることで、ステッチを極力目立たせないようにしながら強度を確保する縫製仕様を採用しています。
The sleeves and hem are sewn specifications that are found in vintage T-shirts, and that ensure strength while making the stitches as inconspicuous as possible by using a technique called “Single Stitch” that requires skilled technical skills.
「天地引き」は生産効率が悪くなることから近年では用いられることが少なくなっている仕様ですが、DRĒIPSの世界観を表現することを重視しました。
“Single Stitch” is a specification that has been used less and less in recent years due to poor production efficiency, but we focused on expressing the world view of DRĒIPS.
他にも、パーツとパーツとの接合部分はスムースかつシームレスな表情を意識することで上品さを演出しています。
In addition, we were conscious of a smooth and seamless expression at the joints between parts. This creates a sense of elegance.
カットソーであっても細部までこだわり、しっかりとDRĒIPSらしいアイテムに仕上がったのではないかと考えています。
Even if it is cut and sewed, we think that we paid attention to the details and finished it in a product that is firmly DRĒIPS-like.
サイズはブルゾンと同じく「M」と「L」の2サイズ展開。170㎝～175㎝前後の方が「M」、175㎝～180㎝前後の方は「L」となるように設計としています。
