先日販売を開始したストライプ柄シャツから商品の仕様を若干変更していますので、ご説明したいと思います。
We have slightly changed the specifications of the item from the striped shirt that we started selling the other day, so we would like to explain the contents of the change.

今回仕様を変更したのは2点です。まず1点目の変更点が「運針」と言われる、ミシンで縫い上げる際の縫い目の細かさです。これまでの商品に比べると、若干縫い目を粗く設定しています。
There are two changes to the specifications this time. The first change is the fineness of the seams when sewing with a sewing machine. Compared to previous items, the seams are slightly rougher.

クラシックなドレスシャツの場合、一般的には高級シャツほど縫い目が細かくなり、カジュアルシャツになればなるほど縫い目が粗くなっていきます。
In the case of classic dress shirts, the more expensive the shirt, the finer the seams, and the more casual the shirt, the rougher the seams.

これまでの商品における仕様は高級シャツに分類される縫い目の細かさで仕上げていましたが、いくつか気になる点がありました。それは細かいピッチで縫い上げることで生地にテンションがかかり、ひっぱられること。またこれに伴い、やや緊張感のある、ドレス感の強い表情に仕上がることです。
The specifications of the item so far have been finished with fine seams classified as high-end shirts, but there were some points of concern.Sewing at a fine pitch will pull the fabric. Along with this, it will be finished with a slightly tense look.

DRĒIPSは「Relax with Elegance」と言うブランドコンセプトを掲げていますので、もう少し縫い目のピッチを広くとり、よりブランドコンセプトを体現できるような雰囲気に仕上げても良いのかもしれないと考えていました。
DRĒIPS has a brand concept of “Relax with Elegance”, so we thought it might be a good idea to make the seams a little wider and create an atmosphere that embodies the brand concept more.

結果的には、今回の変更によってドレスとカジュアルの中間に位置する、我々のブランドの世界観をより適切に表現できるようになったと感じています。
As a result, we feel that we have been able to express an atmosphere that is halfway between dress and casual, which is in line with our brand’s worldview.

そして2点目が、衿に用いている芯材の変更です。今回のシャツから、これまでのシャツに比べるとやや硬さのある芯材に変更致しました。
The second point is to change the core material used for the collar. From this shirt, we have changed to a core material that is slightly harder than previous shirts.

芯材の変更はサンプルをいくつか製作した上で行ったのですが、最後まで変更の有無や、変更した際の芯材選びに悩みました。
The core material was changed after making several samples, but until the end, we were worried about whether or not to change it and the choice of core material when it was changed.

これまでの柔らかい芯材はリラックス感のある表情を十分に表現出来ていたのですが、ジャケットなどを羽織るとやや皺がよることを気にされる方もいらっしゃいました。我々は皺がない美しさを目指しているわけではないので、皺が出ることを含めてブランドの世界観として捉えていました。
Until now, the soft core material was able to fully express a relaxed expression, but some customer were concerned that it would wrinkle slightly when wearing a jacket.We don’t aim for beauty without wrinkles, so we took it as part of our brand’s worldview, including wrinkles.

よって変更の有無を含めて悩んだのですが、最後はブランドコンセプトを守りながら、よりハリのある芯材を選ぶ決断をしました。
Therefore, we were hesitant to change it or not, but in the end we decided to choose a more solid core material that would not have a significant impact on the brand concept.

我々としては芯材の変更によって、イタリアンカラーならではの衿の返りがより美しく表現できるようになったと感じています。
We feel that by changing the core material, we have been able to express the return of the collar unique to the Italian color more beautifully.

今でも最初の芯材は大変気に入っているのですが、これから投入する新商品におきましては新しい芯材にてご提供できればと考えています。
We still really like the first core material, but we would like to offer it with a new core material for the new products we will introduce in the future.
