この度、新しくなったDRĒIPSのシャツをご案内できることとなりましたので、本日はこれをご紹介したいと思います。
Today, we would like to introduce you to the new DRĒIPS shirt.

先日「シャツの再生産について」と言う記事にてご案内させて頂いた通り、DRĒIPSのシャツは手縫い工程の多さ等の理由によって国内で対応頂ける縫製工場がおらず生産を停止していましたが、この度、新たに生産を頂ける工場が決まりました。
Production of DRĒIPS shirts was suspended due to the lack of sewing factories in Japan that could handle hand-sewing due to the large number of hand-sewn processes. However, this time, we have decided on a new factory that can produce it.

その工場は高級ブランド品を手掛けていることから縫製の技術レベルが非常に高いと言うことを上記記事の中でもご紹介していました。実際、最初にサンプルを製作頂いたのですが、その圧倒的な技術力の高さに大変驚きました。
The factory has a very high level of sewing technics because it handles luxury brand products. In fact, when we first received a sample shirt, we were very surprised by the overwhelming level of technical ability.

これまでもシャツ専門の縫製工場であったり、サンプルを製作頂き、その技術力に納得が出来る工場とお取引をさせて頂いていました。よってブランド開始時から生産を行ってきたシャツにつきましても、日本製ならではの縫製の美しさをご提供出来ていると考えていますが、今回生産を担当頂ける工場の縫製力は、一言で言うと「世界レベル」であると感じています。
Until now, we have been doing business with sewing factories specializing in shirts, and factories that are convinced by their technical capabilities. Therefore, we believe that shirts that have been produced since the start of the brand can be found in the beauty of sewing unique to Japan. But we feel that the sewing capabilities of the factory in charge of production this time are, in a word, “world-class”.

ミシンの取扱い、縫製の方法に加えて、手縫いの箇所につきましても私達がこれまで経験をしてきた海外のトップレベルのシャツと遜色なく、むしろ丁寧さ、精緻さ、美しさではそれらをも超えてきたと、自信をもってご提案出来るレベルになっています。
In addition to the handling of sewing machines and sewing methods, the hand-sewn parts are on par with the top-level shirts overseas that we have experienced so far, and in fact, we can confidently propose that they have exceeded them in terms of politeness, precision, and beauty.

また、今回は縫製工場の変更と合わせてパターン等を一部アップデート致しました。変更点は、下記2点です。
This time, along with the change in the sewing factory, we have updated some of the shirt patterns. The following two points have changed.

1:襟腰の高さの調整/Adjusting the height of the collar waist
2:袖丈の調整/Adjusting the sleeve length

「1:襟腰の高さの調整」の調整ですが、DRĒIPSのシャツの代名詞でもあるエレガントな襟の雰囲気はそのままに、襟腰の高さを5mmほど低く致しました。設計上の変更のため、生地や縫製の影響で多少の誤差は発生しますが、よりナチュラルな美しさを表現できるようになったと考えています。
First of all, the elegant collar that is synonymous with DRĒIPS shirts has been retained, but the height of the collar waist has been lowered by about 5mm. Due to the change in the design of the shirt pattern, there will be some errors due to the influence of the fabric and sewing, but we believe that we are now able to express a more natural beauty.

なお、DRĒIPSのシャツは美しさを表現するためにワンピスカラーを採用しており、台襟がありませんので正確に言うと襟腰ではありませんが、後衿の高さが少し低くなったとご理解頂ければと思います。

そして「2:袖丈の調整」ですが、顧客様からのフィードバックを踏まえて、それぞれのサイズにおいて少しずつ袖を出しています。具体的には、Sサイズで「1cm」、Mサイズで「1.5cm」、Lサイズで「2cm」ほど袖丈が長くなっています。こちらも設計上の変更のため、生地や縫製によって多少の誤差は発生しますが、従来よりも袖丈が長くなりました。
And based on customer feedback, we have lengthened the sleeves a little bit for each size. Specifically, the sleeve length is “1 cm” for S size, “1.5 cm” for M size, and “2 cm” for L size. This is also a design change, so there will be some errors depending on the fabric and sewing.

なお、袖口の広さは変更しておらず、手の甲でしっかりと袖が止まるように設計していますので、これまでジャストの袖丈であったと感じていらっしゃる顧客様につきましても袖丈が長すぎて困ることはないと考えています。
The width of the cuffs has not been changed, and the sleeves are designed so that they stop firmly at the back of the hand, so we believe that customers who feel that the sleeve length has been just the right sleeve length so far will not have a problem with the sleeve length being too long.

パターンの見直しと縫製工場の変更によってより美しく、新しくなったDRĒIPSのシャツ。今回はリネンのホリゾンタルカラーシャツからご提案させて頂きます。
DRĒIPS shirts have become more beautiful and new by reviewing the pattern and changing the sewing factory. This time, we will propose from a linen horizontal collar shirt.

この度採用した生地は、ヨーロッパ産リネンの60番手糸を用いた遠州織物。そして遠州独自の技術を持つ職人さんが手作業で染色し、天日干しをして仕上げた生地となります。色はサンドベージュ。
The fabric used this time is Enshu fabric using 60th yarn-count of European linen. Then, the craftsmen with Enshu’s unique skills dye it by hand and dry it in the sun to make it a fabric. The color is sand-beige.

また、こちらは繊維を科学反応で染色する反応染料を使用しています。反応染料は均一に染まりやすく、鮮やかな色表現と色落ちがしにくいメリットがあると言われています。
And, we use a reaction dye that dyes the fibers by a chemical reaction. Reactive dyes are said to be easy to dye evenly, and have the advantage of vivid color expression and color fading resistance.

現在販売しているシーズナルコレクションとしてご提案しているホワイトのシャツも同じ遠州織物の60番手を用いていますが、それに比べるとより軽やかな風合いとなります。
The white shirt proposed as a seasonal collection currently on sale also uses the same Enshu fabric 60th yarn-count, but this fabric has more lighter texture.

生地の風合いとスポーティなホリゾンタルカラーとの相性がとても良く、美しさと季節感のあるリネンの表情が絶妙にマッチしています。
The texture of the fabric goes very well with the sporty horizontal color, and the beauty and seasonal linen look are exquisitely matched.

襟の高さは変更していますが、雰囲気は変わらないように配慮しているため、ビジュアル上の大きな変化は出ないようにしています。ただし、既にDRĒIPSのシャツをご愛用頂いている方であれば、実際に着用した際に変化を感じて頂けると思います。
The height of the collar has been changed, but the atmosphere has been taken care not to change, so there are no major visual changes. However, if you are already a fan of DRĒIPS shirts, you will feel the change when you actually wear them.

生地の柔らかさもありますが、高い縫製力によって美しさと、DRĒIPSのアイテムの特徴でもあるリラックス感が感じられる後姿になっています。
This is partly due to the softness of the fabric, but the high sewing technic gives the back a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere that is a characteristic of DRĒIPS items.

細かいことは記載しませんが、剣ボロの作り方も変わりました。美しさと耐久性の向上を実現しています。
We won’t go into details, but the way to make sleeve placket has also changed. It achieves improved beauty and durability.

ボタン付けも手縫いの鳥足付けで、根巻もしっかりと行っています。
The buttons are also hand-sewn with bird feet, and the root wraps are also firmly done.

リネンは高番手になると透け感が強くなりますが、私達はブランドの世界観としてメンズのシャツにおける透け感の強さが美しいとは考えていません。よってリネンならではの清涼感はありながらも、透け感は抑えた生地を採用しています。
As a brand worldview, we do not believe that the strength of the sheer feeling in men’s shirts is beautiful. Therefore, while there is a refreshing feeling unique to linen, we use a fabric that suppresses the feeling of transparency.

もう少し縫製を詳しくご紹介します。運針は最初にリリースしたシャツと同じレベルまで細かく設定しました。ミシンであっても縫製力が物を言います。リラックス感を維持しながら、精緻な美しさをも取り込むことが出来ています。
We would like to introduce sewing in a little more detail. The needle was finely set to the same level as the first shirt released. Even if it is a sewing machine, the sewing technic is important. While maintaining a sense of relaxation, it is also possible to capture exquisite beauty.

また、剣ボロは縫製の基本が揃っているパーツだと言われています。よって剣ボロを見ればシャツの縫製レベルが分かるのですが、縫製マニアの方にも是非チェック頂きたいと思うほどのクオリティに仕上がっています。
In addition, it is said that the sleeve placket is a part that has all the basics of sewing. Therefore, the sleeve placket will tell you the level of sewing of the shirt, but if you are a sewing fanatic, you should definitely check out our shirt sleeve placket.

ボタンホールも美しいです。これまでもホールは美しく仕上げていましたが、フィニッシュのレベルが上がっていると感じます。
The buttonhole is also beautiful. The previous shirts were also beautifully finished in the holes, but we feel that the level of finishing has increased.

そして以前はボタンの取付にはホワイトの糸を用いていましたが、高瀬貝ボタンの色と同じベージュ系の糸に変更し、より落ち着きある表情としました。
Until now, white thread was used to attach the buttons, but this time we changed to the same beige thread as the buttons to give it a more calm look.

パッと見て従来のシャツとの違いを感じて頂ける箇所と言えば、この手縫いの箇所。これまでもミシンの縫製力は世界的に見て高いレベルを実現していたと考えていますが、正直、手縫いの箇所については世界トップレベルとの差を感じていました。しかし新しく生まれ変わったDRĒIPSのシャツでは、この点についても世界トップレベルになったと考えています。
Speaking of the part where you can feel the difference from the conventional shirt at a glance, this hand-sewn part. To be honest, we felt that there was a difference between the hand-sewn parts of conventional shirts and the world’s top level.　However, with the newly reborn DRĒIPS shirts, we believe that we have reached the world’s top level in this regard as well.

一部パターンのアップデートと縫製力の大幅な向上によって、ブランドコンセプトである「Relax with Elegance」をより高いレベルで表現することが可能になったと確信しています。ところで素材の価格高騰もありますが、これに伴って従前よりも販売価格が1.3倍ほどになってしまう予定です。一部は原価率を上げることで吸収したいと思っていますが、既にどのブランドよりも高い原価率となっておりますので、皆さまにおかれましてはご理解、ご了承を頂ければ幸いです。
We are confident that the update of some of the patterns and the significant improvement of the sewing technics have made it possible to express the brand concept of “Relax with Elegance” at a higher level. By the way, there is also a rise in the price of materials, but as a result, the selling price is expected to be about 1.3 times higher than before. We would like to absorb some of them by increasing the cost ratio, but the cost ratio is already higher than any other brand, so we would appreciate your understanding.

なお今回はサンドベージュに加えて、テラコッタとイエローオリーブの3色でご案内予定です。どの色も季節感のある色あいとなっておりますので、是非お楽しみ頂ければと思います。
This time, in addition to sand-beige, we will guide you in three colors: terracotta and yellow olive. All of the colors have a seasonal feel, so we hope you will enjoy them.
